‘What we’re really facing is a crisis of care’: Tom Judd featured on MIRS Monday

In this MIRS Monday podcast, MBIPC President Tom Judd talks about the crisis of care that will cause chaos for Michigan’s most vulnerable in just a few weeks, when the 55% cap in reimbursements for critical care goes into effect.

“What we’re really facing is a crisis of care across the state—that’s not hyperbole… when these places close down and the next accident victim gets hurt and they have the potential for rehab, but they need it to be done in a specialized facility, those placements are not going to be there.”

Listen in now to hear what’s at stake if lawmakers do not pass a technical fix to the fee schedule before July 1.
